Private Tutor Ponders. . .

Thoughts From The Corner

. . . Babies and Blogs.

We private tutors  have been blogging long enough to have a baby. Yes, this blog is nine months old.

The conception of these private tuition ramblings took much thought and consideration – not always the case when some conceive babies!

The BIG questions: did we really want one, could we afford it, what shall we name it?

9 months on we have:

    *    nurtured it, clothed it by adding widgets of all colours and designs – not all pink and blue

    *    watched it grow by adding weekly posts (sometimes two) into something that make us proud parents

    *    Invited everyone to come and see our fine blossoming addition to the family

    *    proudly witnessed many likes and comments heaped upon our bundle of joy

    *    gratefully received your many gifts of ‘Follows’

To make baby interesting we have added subjects other than private tuiton. Our little one needed variety so that it would grow into something interesting for all its admirers. So now our fully-fledged darling has books and blogging and writing to help it mature.

We are, however, slightly worried because our little one does seem rather quiet. Should we, perhaps, introduce it to video clips?

Not everyone, though, has taken to our offspring. Remember the time that naughty blogger shouted at us? Fancy calling it that! Surely it’s us, as parents, that need help with our parenting skills. Still, there have been many more nice people out there who have ‘oohed’ and ‘aahed’ at our precious honey bunch.

As parents we must keep our own minds active by looking at all those other lovely blogs out there for inspiration in continuing to nurture our bundle of fluff into a fully-rounded thing of beauty that we can be proud of.

So what of the future for our precious one? Well, although we are very busy giving private tuition, we must continue to devote lots of time to help baby grow and perhaps those nice people at WordPress will come to visit us with a ‘Freshly Pressed’. Wouldn’t that be nice little one?

‘Goo ga goo gaa gooo’, says little one.

  1. I’m glad that you decided to start blogging! I’ve enjoyed getting to know you through Worpress and through your blog entries. Your baby will definitely continue growing into a fun and funny kid and, eventually, into a teenager. But not the “yikes!” kind of teenager … No, definitely a nice, polite teenager who always fills the car up with gas after borrowing it. 🙂

  2. A teenager replacing the gas they use – that’s a new one on me, don’t think it will catch on!

  3. Congratulations, your little one’s first day at school will be interesting!

  4. As with the more flesh-and-blood type of offspring, you never know how a blog will develop. All you can do is take good care of it, and at the same time, try to stay out of its way. You seem to be doing a great job at both.

  5. I think you’re doing a great job at parenting…keep up the good work.

  6. Loved it. So funny. Haha. 🙂
